Communicating the elegance of nature.

My choice to create art that relates to the natural world is the springboard for my imagery and pattern design work. An edible 'gift' from a friend’s garden, intensely colored lichen, the mottled evening sky, shadows of winter branches on my living room wall, are all enough to get me started down the path to creating a new image or pattern. Ultimately my intent is to communicate the elegance I experience in nature. Each design or image quietly carries a small story about a season, or a person, or an experience and becomes my visual language.
